This topic is days old. Please don't post here. Open a new topic instead. I've had to wipe my laptop and re-install MacOS. I saved all the files, but Apple support said there was no point in saving the apps because they wouldn't work - I'd have to re-install them too. There's no download of FMP15 on the Filemaker website - does anyone know where it's hidden?

Unfortunately, FM support doesn't work over the weekend. I have splashed the cash and tried to upgrade to FM16 using my old FM15 serial number, but it's not having it. I have just gone down that road too. I ended up contacting FileMaker Customer Support. I don't know how many versions you have had, but it required all of the previous versions that I have used to get to the FMP It requires the previous versions as "looking for a qualifying product" Which translates to where is the version you upgraded from i.

It just occurred to me to look on my backup disk to see if there was still a copy of the FMP15 download, but unfortunately not There is an option to input the serial number, rather than locate the app, but I guess that wouldn't work with an educational copy. When I realised that, I tried to buy a fresh educational copy rather than an upgrade from FM , but FM in their wisdom decided that my second order was a mistake.

So two orders later, I still don't have a working copy of FMP. It doesn't matter how you get the application as long as it registered.

You need to find the newest one that works, and then work your way up to My oldest one that worked was 12, I used it to upgrade to 13, which then used to upgraded to 14, which I then upgraded to You need the serial numbers for the previous version to supply the " looking for a qualifying product" flag in the Popup for each upgrade.

You just point to the previous version. That is why I involved Customer service as they made it easier and answered my questions. Especially about the serial numbers. I'll also be invoking customer services. It's a shame they only work week day office hours though! I have no working copy of FM at the moment. Sorry, you will need all of the serial numbers that were used in the chain that led to your FMPA. I did find where you can download the applications here.

I continue to do this because I haven't found another database that come closes to replacing it. I really like FIlemaker but as an individual user I cannot pay their huge upgrade fees every year nor want to pay a subscription.

Why is this on today's listing May 09? It came out in January This web site is becoming a waste of space, it's certainly not worth suscribing to any more. Macbookpro Jan 19 FileMaker Pro 15 is out along with updates including version I would mind less if there were more extensive feature improvements. But as it is, features such as detecting script errors should have been made integral to FMP long ago.

In today's world, FMP is in many respects an aging platform. The big question is whether Apple actually has any meaningful plans for the platform, or not. We could sure use a good ad hoc custom database creation environment, for smaller entities, Filemaker's original role.

It would be nice if Apple would help to move FMP beyond its legacy constraints to something far more meaningful in this modern age. Apple bought the leading edge FoundationDB in Teksestro Aug 20 MacUpdate: FileMaker 15 has been out for several months.

Why is this posted on August 13? I installed this update on May SegN3rd Aug 12 I don't have a review for FileMaker the software , but if I could write a review for FileMaker the company , I would have to give them one star even though they are a division of our beloved Apple.

Bento 1 didn't really work right, but they charged users full price for Bento 2 anyway. Bento 2 didn't work right either, but they charged us again for Bento 3 and Bento 4, and even though it still had many problems, they then abandoned the product with the only consolation being a modest discount on FileMaker Pro. FileMaker Pro is too expensive even with the discount and too complicated for most Bento users. Users who complained about this on FM's forums were not treated well by the moderators.

In my opinion, they should have to refund every dollar they ever got for Bento - but even something like a Mac App Store credit would've been better than the lame deal they offered. Macbookpro Jun 7 Updates for version F May 20 FileMaker 15 is now released.
